Inspired by Acts 2:38-47, our dream for 2010 is to center our lives on the BASIC faith practices of Believing, Assembling, Studying, Inviting, and Caring. We believe in God’s love, grace, presence, and purpose in our lives. We assemble for breaking bread, eating, fellowship, prayer, and praising God. We study God’s Word in the Old and New Testament. We invite people to get to know God and share in our life of faith. We care for those in need. |

1. B – What happened this week that challenged or strengthened your belief in God?
2. A – How did you assemble with God’s people this week, and how was that meaningful?
3. S – What insight or inspiration did you have while studying God’s Word this week?
4. I – Who is someone you could invite to Cross of Glory? Why?
5. C – What needs did you encounter this week that we could care for?
BASIC Prayer
God, help us get back to BASICs as we live out the adventure of following you. Open our hearts … so we can believe in your presence, grace, and power in our lives. Open our calendars and agendas … so we can assemble with your people for worship, fellowship, and study. Open our minds … so we can study your words and hear truth for today. Open our mouths … so we can invite others to share in your adventure. Open our eyes, our ears, and our hands … so we can care for those in need. God you have opened your arms to us … so we open our lives to you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
