Who Can Benefit From Counseling?
Sometimes friends and family just aren’t enough. For those times, we offer the services of licensed counselors. Counseling can be beneficial for individuals, couples, or families facing a variety of painful situations, such as:
- An individual or family facing a crisis
- Parents concerned about their child’s behavior in school
- A couple needing help resolving conflict
- A family that struggles with a history of sexual or physical abuse
- A person coping with grief
- Those experiencing stress or persistent dissatisfaction related to job, home, or school
- A person who is feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, anger, hurt, confusion, or hopelessness
Working with a professional counselor can help you sort out your needs and feelings, examine your beliefs and behaviors, experience God’s love, discover God’s direction, and help you take action for a new life.
What Happens During Counseling?
Your counselor will listen to and work with you on an absolutely confidential basis to help you deal with your personal, social, emotional or spiritual issues:
- Working through unresolved issues
- Developing new and more effective ways of coping
- Facilitating clear communication
- Building and strengthening relationships
- Learning to more fully experience God’s healing love
During the first session goals for your therapy are determined and, together with your counselor, a plan is developed.
How Much Does it Cost?
We are committed to providing help to everyone who needs it. Your fee will be based on services provided and your ability to pay. (The basic fee for a counseling session is $95.00.) Your costs may be reimbursed by your health insurance provider, depending on your coverage.
