VBS: God in Pixar – July 8-11, 2019

VBS 2019 will run from July 8-11.

The kids will gather up for an over-the-top adventure as each day’s activities will focus on different Pixar movies and characters. Kids will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and enjoy yummy snacks, experience one-of-a kind Bible adventures, test out Science-Fun Gizmos & Crafts.

Book Club – Thursday, May 23

The May book is The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. With compelling selections from the original book and stunning, large-format photographs of trees from around the world, this gorgeous volume distills the essence of Wohlleben’s message to show trees in all their glory and diversity.

PFLAG Group Meets Monthly

PFLAG is a national support and advocacy group that unites LGBTQ people with families, friends, and allies.

Some of our members noticed the need for a local PFLAG chapter in this area, so our new PFLAG group meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We had our inaugural meeting on Tuesday, April 30th at Cross of Glory.

Women’s Event – Wine Glass Painting – Friday, June 21

Join us on Friday, June 21st, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for a fun night of painting 4th of July Wine Glasses. The cost is $20 per person and includes 2 glasses of your choice and all the painting supplies. Work at your own pace. Advanced registration is required so there is enough supplies for all. You are welcome to bring a small appetizer or dessert, and beverage. How Fun!
