2023 Angel Tree Gifts Due Back on 12/13

Update! – Our Angel Tree Names are all Gone!

Thanks to all of you who participated in our angel tree this year. Because of your generosity, we’re helping over 340 local kids have a better Christmas this year.
Please remember that all gifts need to be returned by Wednesday, December 13. Again, THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Background…

The Angel Tree is our annual tradition of buying Christmas gifts for local kids. The Angel Tree benefits families who are going through some rough times, and again this year we will have over 200 kids whose names are provided to us by either DCFS or Fairmont School. It’s been another challenging year for many families, so we have a lot of kids on our tree. However, I know that many people are looking for ways to make a difference at Christmas, so please invite your neighbors, friends, family and co-workers to participate as well. (There’s absolutely no way we can do this without help from others in the community.)

Buying Guidelines…

Information on  the children from DCFS includes first name or initials, age, gender, and gift suggestions. The Fairmont kids info includes initials, age or grade, and gift suggestions. Kids from Fairmont or DCFS are identified in parentheses. It’s important to know whether a child is from DCFS or Fairmont because different maximums apply. Please spend no more than $50 per child from DCFS. And please spend no more than $25 per child from Fairmont.

To Participate…

  • Select names online or you can grab names off the physical tree at Cross of Glory. (If you take a name from that tree, we’ll take care of cross-referencing the name online as well.)

  • Purchase the gift(s) and have the wrapped gift(s) returned to Cross of Glory by Wednesday, December 13 with each gift clearly tagged with the child’s name (or initials) and the number from the paper angel ornament, so we can match the gifts with kids.
