This Sunday, August 28, we’ll be taking our noisy offering for Tender Loving Care Animal Shelter here in Homer Glen. I’m guessing most of us have adopted or know someone who has adopted a pet from TLC, so let’s help them out.
Our next blood drive is Thursday, August 18, 2022. Please consider donating blood to save lives. All donors will receive a Versiti Water Bottle and cool Sticker Pack as a thank you gift. You can sign up online here.
We need your help. On Saturday, August 13th, 9:30 to 12:30: It’s Chalk-It-Up at Heritage Park in Homer Glen. Sign-up sheets are available at Cross of Glory, or contact Pastor Dana if you can help on either day.
Sunday – July 10 is pet blessing time! It’s our 6th annual pet blessing outside under a big tent (but we’ll move indoors if it rains). As long as your pet likes other pets, bring your dogs, cats, lizards, guinea pigs, chickens, fish and whatever else you’ve got for a fun worship and a nice blessing. (We will also bless your pet virtually if you can’t make it. And we’ll bless pet pictures and stuffed animals.)
On Saturday, June 25, we’ll be On Saturday, June 25th, we’ll be promoting our Incredible Me VBS in the Homer Glen parade at 10:30. Dan Murtaugh is driving the yellow minion car, but we need some walkers to help hand out snacks and flyers. Please contact Dana O’Brien if you would like to participate.
Helpers are needed on Saturday, June 4, to help with bike pick-up day. See the Lockport Resource Center Facebook page for more info.
We’ll be out in the community as we worship at Canal Days on Sunday morning June 12 at 9:30 at the Main Stage under the big tent (get map here). The Artisan Market and the Carnival rides will begin at 10:00. Food vendors will open at 11:00. We’ll need some helpers to set up, and we hope lots of you come on out and bring your family and friends.
We’re in the New Lenox Parade this coming Sunday, May 1. We’ll be walking and handing out candy and info about Cross of Glory and our VBS program, “Incredible Me: One in a Minion.” Sign up here to walk with us. We always have a great time!
