Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 24th at 3:30 pm
For the second year in a row, the local pastor’s association (LHAMA – the Lockport Homer Glen Area Ministry Association) will be holding an Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration. This year’s celebration will be at St. Dennis Church, 1214 S. Hamilton Street in Lockport. Local Christian congregations, as well as representatives from the Jewish, Islamic, Hindu and Native American faith traditions will be participating.
Now that November is upon us, we’ll start collecting food for our Thanksgiving baskets, which we will assemble after worship on November 24. The baskets will go to people in our community who are struggling to make ends meet. Over the next couple of weeks, please bring in the following: Gravy, Instant Potatoes, Canned Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing, Canned Cranberries, Bread Mix, Canned Vegetables, Cookies, Candies, Jello & Pudding Mix, Juice, other food staples, and grocery store gift cards. Then stay after the service and help us pack baskets on November 24.

Bring all your animal friends and tell all your people friends about Cross of Glory’s second annual pet blessing on Sunday August 4th. Don’t miss it – every pet wants a blessing (and a treat)! The service will be held outdoors.
On Wednesday, August 7th, we’ll have a second pet blessing at our 6:30 pm Summer Service. This one is indoors and should be smaller and more intimate. All pets are welcome!
