September 17, 2023 – Sermon on the Mount – Week 2

On Sunday, September 10th, we began our fall sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount with a look at the beatitudes – where Jesus describes those who are blessed in God’s Kingdom.
On Sunday, August 27th, we got a sneak peak at our sermon series for the fall — the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ most radical counter-cultural teaching ever. And it also just happens to be the way all Jesus’ disciples are called to live.
We’ll be watching clips from A Man Called Otto, and we’ll look at where God shows up in the movie.
On Sunday, May
21st, we concluded our series on living as God’s steward in today’s world with a look at how we steward the time that God has entrusted to us. In Sunday School, the kids will celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. And we’ll be taking a noisy offering for the refugees and migrants in our communities.

On Sunday, April 23rd, we began a series on what it means to be God’s stewards by recognizing that we’re all stewards in daily life. Then we looked at stewards in the Bible, and what they can tell us about living as stewards today.
Join us each Wednesday in Lent at 6:00 pm for Lent 2023 Soup and Sides. Each Wednesday in Lent, we’ll gather for a soup supper at 6:00 pm and then at 6:30, we’ll continue with a discussion based on the prior Sunday’s sermon focus.
