Christmas Services

Cross of Glory offers a variety of services to celebrate Christmas this year.

On Christmas Eve, we will have three services. In the evening, there will be two Barn Services (4:00 and 5:30 pm) at the Konow Farm, just south of Cross of Glory at 16849 South Cedar Road. We’ll have special music, candle-lighting, and Holy Communion. This is a wonderful service for families and guests. The barn is heated but please dress warmly. (Also there are no restrooms in the barn, so plan accordingly.) What better way to remember the humble surroundings of Christ’s birth.

At 10:00 pm (one hour earlier than previous years), we will have a solemn Candlelight Service where we will welcome Christmas with memorable special music, candle-lighting and Holy Communion. This is a very reflective service.

Join us on Christmas Morning at 9:30 for a casual, reflective start to your Christmas Day activities. Come as you are (anything from pajamas to your newest outfit)!

Advent Conspiracy

This year we’ll be doing the Advent Conspiracy program.

Advent Conspiracy was founded on the radical idea that we can celebrate Christmas humbly, beautifully, and generously. Advent is the story of a wondrous moment when God entered our world to make things right. It is the greatest story ever told and it changes everything—including the way we celebrate Christmas.

More information on Cross of Glory’s implementation of this program will b coming soon…

Christmas Angel Tree

Once again, we will celebrate Christmas as a congregation by picking names and buying presents for kids on our Angel Giving Tree. This year, our tree will include names provided to us by our local DCFS and some from Fairmont School.
As you probably know, the Angel Giving Tree benefits families who are going through some rough times. If you chose to take an Angel tag off the tree, you’ll get a child’s name, age, and some Christmas gift suggestions for the child. Please return the gifts all wrapped with the tag attached to the gifts, no later than December 16.
