2015 Women’s Retreat

Can I Get A Do-Over???

Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8th

Do you remember when you were a kid and something did not go your way and you yelled, “DO-OVER!!!!” How often do we as adults wish we could yell that out?

Whether we did something we are not proud of or failed to get something done, we’ve all had that wish for a do-over.

Fortunately, we have a God who loves to grace us with do-overs. We will discover many instances where God has offered second chances to people from Biblical times until now who have asked for a do-over.

Come join us for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and learning. We will share in quiet reflection and lively group activity to help us to grow in our faith and knowledge that our God loves us each dearly and offers us the do-over we desire.

Women’s Group Helps With Pancake Breakfast

Feed My Starving Children Pancake Breakfast

Here’s the Scoop:
Cross of Glory’s LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization) will be traveling to Feed My Starving Children in Aurora on Friday night, June 27th. Their mission is to make a financial donation and to pack food for starving children all over the world.
To help ensure the success of their summer mission project, they will be holding a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning, June 22nd.
Here’s Where We Come In:
Holding a Pancake Breakfast is a lot of work, and the more volunteers we can get, the better. The plan is for our Women’s Group to assist with making pancakes and sausages during the two sessions:
Session 1 – 8:00 to 9:15
Session 2 – 10:45 to 11:30
We will also need people to purchase tickets to support LYO and, at the same time, enjoy the superior culinary and pancake flipping skills provided by our Women’s Group.
Here’s an Added Incentive:
For those of us who need a little caffeine kick in the morning or a protein push to get us going, we will be meeting at Blueberry Hill at 7:00 Sunday morning to get our juices flowing.
Here’s How YOU Can Get Involved:
Please sign up on the sheet provided or contact Tammy Kjos  or Debbie Murtaugh if you have any questions.
