There’s Nothing Like a Visit With Santa!

So Cross of Glory hosted a very special visitor on Saturday, December 3…none other than…Santa Claus!

Santa spared CoG three hours in his busiest time of the year.  Children from all over our area came to visit and ‘formally present’ their wish lists. A steady stream kept Santa busy with their petitions while the big man checked his official list to make sure everyone was on the ‘good list’. “All the children were very sweet and definitely on my ‘nice’ list,” reported the Jolly One.
But the event offered much more than the opportunity to sit on St. Nick’s lap…indeed, kids and all visitors were treated to games, crafts, Christmas treats, and of course, a photo op with the ‘big man’. A very special thanks goes to all the volunteers who helped out, especially many teens from CoG. And… of course, Mr. Dan (the gent leaning over Santa on top photo). Others who deserve a shout out were Andrew K., Cheryl N., Bill B., Jennie H., Chris Q., and Sandy W.
Decorations were hung (by the chimney – and front door – with care…) by Barb C., Jackie P., Sandy W., Mary Beth R. Oh, and never ever forget several husbands pitched in as well!
Check your calendars next year as we appear to have struck a deal with Santa to return once again!
